Could never imagine I had just spent a miserable night on the side of a mountain, but the next morning was a beautiful drive through the Canadian border.

I did the necessary riding through rain, sleet and mud yadda yadda yadda . . .
Eventually I got to the start of the Cassiar Highway which was a little sad because it was my last adventure road for the northern tier of my trip.

Stopped for some shopping. There area has many active jade mines and a few gold mines.

The Cassiar was one of the best rides of this Northern Tier. Dirt rode through beautiful scenary.

At $20 and a name like Survivor’s Lodge I had to stop and have a look. Low and behold I pull in and see another tricked out F650 sitting there.

It turned out to be Bob who riding his highly modified F650 up to Inuvik. He also found the Survivor’s Lodge and we all had a good time in this sparse lodging. The owner, Don, had the place equipped with a pool table and all sorts of toys for boys.

The next morning it was a beautiful ride out to finish off the Cassiar.

By th e time I entered Prince George I realized I was back in the lower 48, in spirit if not physically.

Re-entering Jasper park I was once again in search of scenary I had missed on the trip up north.

Passed the continental divide again, but this time I actually took a picture.
Cruised down to the US border after a night at a RV camp and actually got hastled by the US customs agent who asked me lots of questions and open up one of my side cased. He broke a big smuggling operation when he found my Canadian peanut butter.

That called for another decent meal when I camped in Whitefish Montana.
